  • Dìleab programmes to feature on BBC Radio nan Gàidheal

    Comhairle nan Eilean Siar is pleased to announce that a series of radio programmes featuring live events from the Dìleab Metagama project will be broadcast throughout the summer on BBC Radio nan Gàidheal.

  • Levels of Shellfish Toxin Back to Safe Levels

    Monitoring work undertaken on behalf of Food Standards Scotland has identified that the high levels of shellfish toxins identified in Loch Roag: Miavaig on 25 May 2023 have returned to safe levels.

     
  • Water scarcity situation worsens

    The Conon river area in the Highlands and the Outer Hebrides have now been escalated to Moderate Scarcity, where the southwest and much of central Scotland remain. Without further rainfall, these areas risk reaching Significant.
